Dental Implants

Dental ImplantsTired of looking at your missing teeth in the mirror? How about those uncomfortable dentures that never seem to stay in place? Eliminate these problems once and for all with Dr. Kroll's cutting edge dental implant technology, an easy and efficient way to replace missing teeth or replace your dentures all together.

Made of high-grade titanium, the dental implants utilized by Dr. Kroll replace the root of your tooth that was lost when the tooth was removed. Surgically placed in your upper or lower jaw, a crown or denture is fastened to the implant permanently, preserving any jawbone that may be lost without an implant.

If you're only missing one tooth, a single implant can be placed in the space where the tooth was, as opposed to older techniques which require a bridge that fastens the missing tooth to two adjacent teeth. The dental implants are strong and look and function just like a real tooth, so you can now floss, brush, and eat just as you did with your real tooth! And as they last a lifetime, you'll never have to worry about your smile again. An alternative to dental implants would be a fixed bridge, or three crowns hooked together with the missing tooth suspended in the middle. The downside to a fixed bridge is often the dentist would have to grind down two perfectly good teeth on either side of the missing tooth so your missing tooth can be replaced. The advantage of a dental implant are two fold. One when you are missing a tooth, your jaw bone can melt away as the Bone needs something to stimulate it to keep it there, like a tooth. An implant acts like a tooth root to preserve your bone. Secondly, you only have to replace the missing tooth and not touch the teeth on either side of the space.

Often, if you are missing more than one tooth on say one side of your mouth, you do not need a dental implant for each missing tooth. An implant bridge can be constructed using two implants with three or four teeth on the bridge.

"Teeth in a Day" Now, if you currently have full dentures or are about to lose all your teeth, a fixed rather than removeable prosthesis can be constructed and attached to as few as four implants in an arch. This is godsend for someone who lives with the frustration of full dentures. With the "All On Four" prosthesis, you can chew and taste your food just as you did before the loss of your teeth, while at the same time ensuring that your jawbone is preserved forever (not necessarily the case with a set of full dentures.) Dental implants can restore you to full function and give you the confidence to eat whatever you want!

Dr. Kroll would be happy to discuss the various ways you can replace your missing teeth with dental implants. Call for a free consultation today!
